Five killed in separate incidents in Palamu


Medininagar (Jharkhand) (PTI): Five persons, three of them members of a rival Maoist outfit, were killed in separate incidents in Jharkhand's Palamu district, a senior police officer said on Tuesday.

Three persons were abducted from Dera village and later shot dead at Jhargada under Hussainabad police station on Monday, Superintendent of Police Deepak Verma said.

The CPI (Maoist) suspected the five of being sympathisers of Tritiya Prastuti Samiti, a rival outfit, Verma said.

While two persons were identified as Ramashis Paswan and Yogesh Paswan, the identity of the third was still not known.

In another incident, the TPC killed one Vinod Sao at Gopalganj under Lesliganj police station on suspicion that he was an accomplice of the Maoists, the SP said.

Meanwhile, an unidentified body was recovered from Belbadia locality under Medininagar police station.
