Interview with Farc Commander Ivan Marquez on Colombia Hostage Crisis

The Bolivarian Press Agency, ABP, at the news from Bogota on the interception and seizure of evidence for survival of POWs who were destined to President Hugo Chavez interview on the matter to Ivan Marquez (IM); member of the Secretariat of the FARC.

ABP .- Ivan, What are the immediate consequences of the intercept tests of survival and the capture of the emissaries that the carrying humanitarian by the Colombian authorities in Bogota yesterday?

ABP .- President Uribe has set as a condition to talk about humanitarian exchange for the FARC not to play any political role in it. What do you think about this strange determination?

IM .- How not going to be protagonists of the first order if the FARC are one of the warring parties. We will not be silent partners with anyone, nor convidados stone in a case that is solved is with us. The FARC therefore never appear in the process of humanitarian exchange with a gag intended as President Uribe. That means the whole world. What is happening is that Uribe never ceases to obstruct any efforts in that direction to use sticks to the wheel of this process.
