Join guerilla war: Naxals to people

RAYAGADA: The Srikakulam Divisional Committee of the CPI (Maoists) has asked the people to join the guerilla army and pave way for a new democratic revolution that their martyrs dreamt of.

It has also called for erecting statues of slain Maoists and paying homage to them during this Martyrs’ Week. In a hand-written note received by post by a section of media here, Srikakulam Divisional Committee secretary Daya alias Ch.

Krishna Murty recalled the sacrifices made by the cadres and accused the government of killing special zone committee members Ganga Rao alias Sankar and Kommu, Ranadev alias Kamaraju, Malkangiri Divisional Committee member Sudhakar alias Sudhir along with Nirmala this year.

The note said Ganga Rao was born in Palasa under Sompeta mandal of Srikakulam district and left his degree studies to be part of the people’s war. Sudhakar was born and brought up in Malkangiri and was discharging his responsibilities as the divisional committee member when he was betrayed by an informer and caught by police.

Similarly Nirmala alias Eeranni was born to a poor family in Boddugaduguda village in Vizianagaram district and creating awareness among the people with her song and dance. The committee asked people to participate in the Martyrs’ Week from July 28 to August 3 and pay homage to slain Maoists
