India grabs Kashmiris’ land to fortify its occupation: Gilani

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has emphasised that India is seizing Kashmiris’ land to strengthen its illegal occupation.
Syed Ali Gilani who is under house arrest was quoted in a statement as saying that the people of Kashmir were not against Amarnath Yatra but against the cultural and political aggression of New Delhi. He said that India was working on an agenda of changing the demography of the territory and asked the people to remain vigilant to defeat the nefarious designs of the enemy.
Syed Ali Gilani maintained, “Amarnath Yatra was a 15-day affair. Now it has been extended to 2 months and 800 kanals of land has been transferred to the SASB.” He pointed out that in past, Kashmiri Pandits used to take care of yatris and they never demanded land.
Syed Ali Gilani said that the uprising of people against the land transfer was not temporary. He pointed out that nobody can stop Kashmiris from achieving freedom and added that the people of the territory would fight till Indian Army leaves Jammu and Kashmir.
Terming his house arrest as frustration of the puppet regime, the senior Hurriyet leader said, “Whatever untoward has happened during the last two days is the responsibility of the puppet administration.”
Syed Ali Gilani further said, “We are not against dialogue process to resolve the Kashmir dispute provided India shows seriousness for talks,” adding, “Demilitarisation, revoking of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and release of political prisoners is a pre-condition of such talks.”
