Ranchi: Maoist rebels killed a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in Lohardagga district of Jharkhand, the police said here on Saturday.
According to the police, the activists of Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) abducted Mahadeo Sahu, president of Senah block, and two others Friday night. The Maoists released the other two men.
After the killing Sahu, the CPI-Maoist left pamphlets at the spot alleging that the BJP leader was a police informer.
