Lawyers boycott court proceedings

Shimoga, May 13: Pamphlets, allegedly issued by the Communist Party of India (Maoist), were found pasted on the walls of the court premises here on Monday, which asked people to boycott the “bogus” Assembly elections in the State.

The pamphlets stated that political parties were promoting “Hindu fascism, false secularism and hollow democracy”.

It is learnt that the police have taken up investigation, but have not registered any case in this regard.

Meanwhile, lawyers boycotted the court proceedings on Monday for some time condemning the bomb blast in the court hall in Hubli and display of pamphlets, allegedly by CPI (Maoist).
