Wallposters on wanted maoists

PARVATIPURAM: In an attempt to help public to identify the Maoists, the district police released a booklet and wallposters with the photographs of the ‘most wanted’ Maoist leaders.

Officer on Special Duty N Ravindranath Babu released the booklet and wallposters at the office of the deputy superintendent of police here.

The booklet and the wallposters contain the photographs and names of 15 Maoist leaders of the Andhra-Orissa border special zone.

They will be distributed to police constables, political leaders and others who want to provide information about the Maoists to the police.

Ravindranath Babu stressed the need for public support to stop the violence of Maoists. He said that the wallposters would be displayed at major junctions and areas. The informers will be awarded with special prizes apart from keeping their names secret, he added.
