Arm-carrying group held by Maoists [ 2008-4-2 ]

Damauli, Apr. 1: Workers of the CPN-Maoist today arrested a group of people carrying arms who attempted to attack the election campaign office of the CPN-Maoist at Dumre, Tanahun district constituency-1.

The CPN-Maoist's district leader Atendra said four members of the group of assailants have been arrested. The rest of the members of the group are at large, it is learnt.

The group tried to storm in the office carrying Khukuris, swords, machetes and catapults.

The Maoist has claimed the assailants were Nepali Congress workers. The arrested people have been made public today.
