THRISSUR: `People’s March’ magazine editor P.Govindan Kutty was released from Viyyur Central Prison here on Sunday.

His release follows the conditional bail granted by the Kerala High Court the other day.

He alleged that the arrest was in retaliation by the government against the articles published by him in his magazine exposing corruption and injustice in various government departments.

“If what is published in my magazine is antinational, the authorities should have banned the magazine. But so far the magazine has not been banned and I will continue to publish the magazine”, he said.

He said that he was not a Maoist, but he accepted the Maoist ideology. He said that he would continue to propagate the Maoist ideology.

He said that he did not want to be called a nationalist, but he was not an anti-national. He said that he was a praja snehi.
