Colombia Kills 20 FARC Fighters, Wounds 30 in Clashes, DPA Says

Feb. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Colombian troops killed 20 guerrilla fighters and injured another 30 in clashes in central Tolima province, Deutsche Presse-Agentur reported.

The military used air support for its ground troops, leading to the high number of rebel casualties, DPA cited Tolima's Interior Secretary Marta Padilla as saying.

The operation began after several soldiers were killed in the area by land mines planted by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, DPA said.
