Chhattisgarh Naxalites arrested

MALKANGIRI, Jan. 21: Malkangiri Police today arrested threeChhattisgarh-cadre Naxalites from Kotaguda village in the Motu Police Limits. They also seized a huge cache of explosives with one SBML rifle and Naxalite literature.
They are Salvam Mutta from Gaganpally village at Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, Kotam Malla and Motul Rama of Biliguda village in the Motu Police Limits of Malkangiri district.
Mutta(30) has been a Naxalite since his childhood and is at present deputy commander of the Naxalite organisation at Dantewada, police said.
He was reportedly transferred to Malkangiri by Naxalite commander Ganapathy to turn Malkangiri into "Dantewada". He was the mastermind behind the killing of 10 Mizo jawans in 2004. He also blasted a truck carrying 30 Salwa Judum supporters in 2005 and the same year, he planned and designed the attack on the Erabore Relief Camp and killed 20 jawans. He gutted four trucks and two buses in 2007 and was involved in almost all incidents at Dantewada, police said.
Malkangiri SP Mr Satish Kumar Gajbhiye said he tried to kill Salwa Judum leader Mr Mahendra Karma several times but failed.
The other two are in the Naxal Frontal Organisation since 2004 and were involved in almost all major Maoist attacks in Chhattisgarh. Mr Gajbhiye said they were planning a big attack on Republic Day. A Chattisgarh Police team went to Malkangiri and interrogated them.
